FELIZ NAVIDAD for real this time!!! AHHH I cannot believe tomorrow is Christmas!! I hope you all have some wonderful plans for Christmas eve tonight and remember the real reason we celebrate Christmas! To remember the birth of our beloved Savior! And feliz cumpliaƱos to my brother Micah!! Can ́t believe your 16 and can drive now.. please dont wreck my car while im gone lol.... This week was really good!! It started off pretty slow... On Tuesday and Wednesday it was actually hard for us to find people willing to receive us, which is something we don't normally struggle with. Rejection is not my favorite thing, but I know that is a part of missionary life and something that missionaries all over the world face. Our struggles with the obra this week really caused us to HAVE to rely on the Lord for His help.  On Wednesday Hna Folau and I decided to do a fast for our people and the work. WE really wanted to find a lot of new people ready for the gospel and wanted the i...

An ARGENTINIAN "normal"

Hola amigos!! I CANNOT believe Christmas is NEXT WEEK!! WHHATTT!! Idk about you guys, but for me time has really flown by! Today I am finished with the first transfer of my training!!! So that means I only have 6 weeks left with Hermana Folau :(( AHH crazyyyy!! This week we had our Christmas conference and it was a BLAST!! Our zone left at about 4 pm last Monday for Salta Capital. We really lucked out because the APs (assistants to President) got us our own private colectivo (bus) - comparable to a charter bus from the U.S. Our conference was with the northern part of the mission (about 100 missionaries), but our zone Tartagal is the farthest north from Salta capital. We drove about 2 hrs south and picked up another zone called Oran and then arrived in Salta capital about 5 hours later, 11pm. Even though it was a long bus ride, it was actually fun getting to travel with other missionaries:) We then spent the night in a hotel with some other Hermanas in our mission including the ...

A December to remember!!

Hola hola!! ¿Como le va?? Sadly today I don't have as much time to write because we are leaving this afternoon for Salta Capital WOOHOO!!! Tomorrow is our conferencia de Navidad with half of the mission and I am so stoked!!! But this past week was pretty good!! One of the highlights of my week was getting to do some service!! This month for Navidad all of the zones in our mission were invited to do a service project together to ilumina al mundo! Our zone decided to go caroling to a nursing home in Tartagal. When we got there they were so excited to talk to us because I don't think they get visitors that often. Ahh all the elderly there were the SWEETEST!!! It was fun to get to know them and tell them about myself and missionary life. We also made them all some cute Christmas cards :) It reminded me a little of Autumn Grove (an Alzhiemer`s home in Texas) but was a little different from a normal elderly home in the U.S...They let their patients basically roam free and leav...

Ilumina al mundo!!!

¡Hola my family and friends! Como le van? I hope you all had a LOVELY Thanksgiving :) I cannot believe it's already DECEMBER!!! Haha It definitely doesn't feel like it at times here with the heat, but I've had hot Christmases before in Texas. Sunday was my cumplimes!! Entonces I've been a missionary por 2 meses!! CRAZY!! Only 16 mas meses to go...no big deal haha!! This week was good...but honestly had a lot of ups and downs for me and my companion. One thing I'm learning as a missionary though is just to take what comes and try to make the best of it! :) Here in Mosconi it is easy to find people to teach and contact, but hard to get them to actually progress and take action - like go to church. This week we set a lot of baptismal dates with AWESOME people, but in order for our people to be able to get baptized, they HAVE to come to church twice. So it's REALLY important they come and makes me sad when they commit to coming and then don't. Pero esta bien...

A week of milagros!!

¡Hola hola! ¿Como estan? This past week was super bien!!! One of the best and craziest weeks I´ve had so far for sure!! One of my favorite things about being a missionary is that while doing the Lord's work - we literally get to see and experience miracles cada dia.Two of the biggest milagros en este semana pasada fue divisiones and my FIRST baptism!!! YAY!! Basically, divisiones (exchanges) are when the Hermana Capas (Sister Training Leaders) come to our area and we switch companions for a day! It was funny though because they literally told us on Tuesday night that we were going to have divisiones Wednesday and Hermana Folau and I were like WHAAATT?!? It normally doesn't happen until the 3rd or 4th week in the transfer and literally I had only been in the field for 6 days (and only worked in Mosconi 4/6 of those days). So yeah you could say I was a little stressed Wednesday morning because being with one of the Hna Capas in Mosconi would mean that I would need to LEAD...
