First week of 2020!! Woohoo!!

Hola mi familia y amigos! 

This email is going to be way shorter than normal, because we had a busy busy p-day, but I just wanted to email real quick and say that I am doing well!! :)

Some highlights from this week were we had 3 people at la iglesia this past week!!! Ahhh it was awesome! Andres came again, and we are preparing him to hopefully have his baptism this next week (but we will see haha) and then Soledad and Antonella (a mother and daughter) we got as references from a member came with us in a remis (taxi)!!! It was kinda crazy because we only just met them on Saturday and then Sunday morning when were were calling all of our investigators like normal and reminding them about church, they actually answered and said they wanted to come with us! Antonella is 14 years old and she is SO so cute. We got them as a reference because their uncle Jose, who is a member, asked us to help Antonella with her schooling. She is trying to learn English and since Hna Folau and I know English Jose asked if we could pass by and help her. I hope this upcoming week we can start teaching them the lessons and invite them to be baptized!
 
We also invited Yolanda and Gustavo and their 11 year old son to be baptized and they said yes!! I remember feeling so nervous to ask them before because we had only just started teaching them the other week, but I felt prompted by the spirit and it turned out to be awesome!!

Saturday we had a "tormenta blanca" (white storm) when all of our district came to our area and we contacted different streets for a couple of hours. It was actually really fun and gave us ALOT of new people to teach!!

Today we went to Salvador Masa to go on a hike, an area north in my zone about 2 hours away. It borders Bolivia and was even more "campo" (Spanish for the middle of nowhere) than Mosconi. Haha it was fun though to see more of Argentina and have a zone activity!

Anyways I hope you all had an awesome week! Sorry if you have sent me an email recently and I haven't responded yet.  I will try to get back to you in the next couple of weeks!  Also sadly I don't have time to upload my pictures today but I'll try to send some next week! 

I know the church is true and this is where I am meant to be! I am trying to enjoy this time I have to dedicate my life to the Lord and His work because I know it will go by fast! Love and miss you all!

  Hola amigos!!  Como estan todos?? This week was really really good! We have been working super hard and time has been flying by (I know I know I say that every week, but I promise time keeps getting faster..) I am SO GRATEFUL to be a missionary at this time and honestly do not want it to end! I can honestly say this past year and a half has been the best time of my life filled with the most difficult trials, but also the most rewarding and conversion building experiences. We were able to really focus on Gloria, one of our most progressing friends! I love that lady so much. She is from El Salvador and we got to also begin teaching her grandkids who are sooo cute. We gave them all a church tour on Thursday and ended by showing them the baptismal font and we committed them all to baptism!! 18 lessons learned! Sacamos la mugre hasta el fin ;)

Hola amigos!!  I cannot believe how fast time has flown, not just this past week as I finished up my mission, but over the past 18 months. In honor of finishing my mission, I'd like to share 18 lessons that I have learned in one way or another from my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ as I have come to know and love them. So.. here are some lessons in no particular order of importance :)  1. The worth of souls is great in the sight of God (D&C 18:10). Every soul is equal in His eyes and deserving of His love and mercy. When we can bring any one of His souls unto Him, we can experience joy beyond measure.  2. God is a God of miracles. Each day we can recognize miracles. Not a day passed by that I did not see God's hand bless us with a small miracle.  3. The work of God cannot be frustrated. Week UNO in the MTC!!!

HOLA FAMILIA Y AMIGOS!! I survived my first week in the Mexico CCM!! (CCM stands for Centro de Capitaciones Misional which is Missionary Training Center in Español) Even though the week felt long at times, I have absolutely LOVED being a missionary!! The Spirit is so strong here and I am SOO pumped to learn all the Spanish I can during these 6 weeks!!  So Tuesday, I flew out of Houston straight to Mexico City. Thankfully I met Elder Butterfield on my flight and we went through customs in the Mexico City together. Then we met about 40 other missionaries at the airport, 10 Hermanas and 30 Elders, and took a 30 minute bus ride to the CCM. The ride through Mexico City was super cool but a little scary at times with all the crazy driving!! The city is SO BIG and crowded with so many people!  Once we got to the CCM I found out that my companion was Hermana Hughes!
