rain rain go away (especially on sundays)

¡Buen dia!

Recently I learned that "hola" is apparently the 'informal' way to say hello in Spanish... my whole life is a lie. Haha my comp says "buen dia" or "buenas tardes" is preferable and better to say to strangers on the street. Ooops. The problem is when I try to use "buenas..." I always forget which one is which and end up saying good morning when its 8'oclock at night. Lol... Spanish is still a work in progress:)

Speaking of Spanish, this transfer I´ve actually felt A LOT better and comfortable with the language than before. Having Hna Quequezana as my companion has been a HUGE help because she not only speaks fluent Spanish, but also talks SUPER fast. At first she was a little hard for me to understand but it has gotten better with time.  Now I feel like all the people in Mosconi speak pretty slow and at a pace I can handle woohoo!! She also has INCREDIBLE patience with me even though sometimes I have to ask her like 5 times a day what one word or phrase means :) haha

I know its a little late but....Feliz dia de San Valentin!! (happy valentines day) And happy birthday to my wonderful mom!! Hope your birthday was great and everyone spoiled you!!

This week to be honest was a little harder than most with the obra aqui en Mosconi. At the beginning of the week we spent a lot of time going back and forth from Mosconi to Tartagal for doctors appointments for my companion. Don't worry she is fine... we just had a little scare when she started coughing up blood on Tuesday lol. Thankfully the blood test, xray, and ultra sound showed that everything is okay. She just needs to be better at eating healthy, which is probably some good counsel for the TWO of us lol. Since then we've been trying to cut back on our brownie making and empanada ordering jaja which has been a little hard.... but we can do hard things right??
We also had to drop a lot of our people that were not progressing which was sad:( Personally I hate dropping people, especially people I've grown to love and care about, but I also know that it is a part of the la obra misional. Obviously not everyone we find and teach is ready at this time to be baptized and when we drop people it is an act of faith in showing Heavenly Father that we know He is preparing other people who ARE ready at this time in their lives for progression in the gospel. I KNOW there are people ready for baptism in Mosconi, we just need to find them!!

Thankfully we did not have to drop our favorite vecino Fani!! Even though she is still pretty reluctant to come with us to church (because she is old and scared to leave her house), she is one of the most studious investigators I've met so far. She ACTUALLY reads the pamphlets and chapters in the Libro de Mormon that we invite her to read!! And is WILLING and READY to learn when we teach her. Hopefully we'll be able to gain more of her trust in the future in order for her to feel comfortable leaving her house and coming with us to church!! She also loves to cook and promised to teach us how to make pasta flor!! (the yummiest Argentinian pastries there are:)

This week was also a little hard because we had some even crazier rain storms than last week! Haha the plus side is I am getting some good use out of these rain boots that took up a good amount of space in my suitcase coming here:))) (thanks mom!)  But the downside is that a lot of roads flooded again and this week some houses. It reminded me of hurricanes and floods in Texas once again. Saturday it rained all night and all Sunday morning so no one wanted to leave their house to come to church :( Haha most of our members didn't even show up either lol. So we will pray and hope that next Sunday there is not a cloud in the sky so we can have a chapel full of investigators and members!! haha

But even though this week was a little harder than normal I am still so grateful to be a missionary here in Mosconi! I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and for every single one of His children!! And His plan is perfect. Even though missions are not easy they are SO WORTH IT! I love my Savior and His gospel!

Have a great week!! Love you all!!

Con cariño,
