Corona Chaos!!!

Hey guys!!

Wow what a time to be alive!! Haha kinda feels like we are living in the middle of an apocalypse! Hope you are all staying safe and taking precautions and stocking up on your toilet paper!! (still not too sure why people are freaking out about toilet paper....?)

This week was kinda crazy!! First off, I got mi hija (trainee), Hna Nazareth, and she is the BEST!! Haha she is from Brazil and although I never imagined I would ever have a companion from Brazil, between the two of us we speak 3 languages which is pretty sweet!! Her Spanish is pretty good though and she was literally contacting and talking to people on the street from her first day!! #proudmom. Even though training takes a long of patience and teaching, I really got lucky with her because she came into the field ready!!

But, our week was a little hard just because we are still both so new to our area. La Loma is literally in the middle of the city of Salta and is gorgeous!! But man it is a big change from a small town pueblo like Mosconi. We spent a lot of this week contacting and trying not to get too lost in this big city! Thankfully we were able to find a TON of new people which was awesome but the test will be to see if they really can progress in the gospel.

This week was also a little hard with all the craziness of the corona virus!! Haha most people, (including the members) are a lot more hesitant to let us into their homes and now that we don't have church on Sundays like normal it's a little hard to get our investigators to come participar en la Santa Cena. But if there is anything I have learned in my little time and experience on my mission so far, it is that Heavenly Father has a plan for us! And His plan is perfect. This is His work and I know that Hna Nazareth and I were put here in La Loma in this crazy chaotic time because there are people we need to find and teach!! We've already been able to see some little milagros this past week in not getting lost (too much) and finding some awesome people so I know that the Lord is watching over us.

And the Lord is watching over the entire world in this crazy time of the corona virus! I have never been more grateful than I am now for a living prophet who leads and guides our church. I know that President Russell M. Nelson is called of God and that as we listen to Him and His direction we will not lose our way in this time of chaos. May we keep moving forward with faith and hope in this time of trial!! One of my favorite scriptures that has been of comfort to me lately is found in Alma 26:22 that says "Yea, he that repenteth and exerciseth faith, and bringeth forth good works, and prayeth continually without ceasing—unto such it is given to know the mysteries of God; yea, unto such it shall be given to reveal things which never have been revealed; yea, and it shall be given unto such to bring thousands of souls to repentance, even as it has been given unto us to bring these our brethren to repentance." I know that as we trust in the Lord and His living prophet we will not be led astray and will be able to know the mysteries of God!

I hope you all have a great week and stock up on your toilet paper!! Also if you have any funny corona virus memes it would be greatly appreciated if you could send them my way :))) lol

Love and miss you all!!

con amor,
