I'M GOING TO HAVE AN HIJAAA!!!

HEY YALL!!!

BIG NEWSSSS!!! Today is transfers day and I ́m going to be transferred out!! My new area is called La Loma and it is in the capital of Salta!! But I won't get to my new area until Wednesday night because I am going to be TRAINING!!!!

Just to explain some missionary terms for those who don't know - training happens to every missionary in the first two transfers of the mission here in the field! All the trainers who will be training this new group of missionaries meet up in the mission offices in Salta capital on Tuesday night and welcome the new missionaries. Then the next day we have a training and get assigned our companions!! The trainers are referred to as mamis or papis (mom or dad) and the trainee is the hija or hijo! Hna Folau was my mami and now I am going to have an hija!! Ahhh so stoked!! But I'm also super scared because that means I will be whitewashing my area. Whitewashing is when BOTH the missionaries are new to the area so we basically will have a fresh fresh start!

But, it was pretty sad to have to say goodbye to all the people of Mosconi this week! The members of the branch and some of our converts and people have literally become like family here. I am especially going to miss Ulises and Naim and Victoria. They are some pretty special children. This past week we spent a lot of time with them preparing Victoria, the CUTEST 8 year old, for her baptism. On Sunday after church we had her baptism which was really special and spiritual and next week will be her confirmation! Her mom, Gianina is also amazing and hopefully will be baptized in the near future :)

Sunday was also a day of milagros because we had 9 INVESTIGATORS at church!! The most people I've ever had at church at one time! And it was all thanks to our AWESOME members. Our branch president had the idea of renting a big van that could help bring those who cannot afford to take the bus to church on Sunday. It could seat about 18 people but because we're in Mosconi, Argentina we were about to cram about 30-35 people in there!! Haha it was AWESOME!! Lol I've been joking about wanting to rent a van that I could pick up all our people and bring them to church on Sundays since I got here with my companions but never thought it could actually happen. Dreams really do come true people and God really does answer prayers!! The amount of faith and sacrifice our people and members make in order to make it to church every Sunday never ceases to amaze me.

I know with all my heart this church is true! I ́m sad to leave Mosconi, but I know I'm leaving it in the good hands of the Lord :) I know that the He is truly mindful of each and everyone of us and loves us. As we pray to Him and keep His commandments He will bless us in more ways than we can even imagine!

I'm also sad to be leaving Hna Quequezana!! She taught me what it truly means to love and serve our members and investigators in the way that Christ would have if He was here. She emulates charity and patience perfectly and I hope that I can take the things I learned from her and apply it La Loma!!

Well I hope y'all have an awesome week and stay safe and away from the Corona Virus !!! Love and miss you all!! Wish me luck in my new area! Hopefully the dogs are a little nicer to me there :)

Con cariño,
Hna Tate
