Back & better than everrr!!
Hey y'all!!
I survived my first week back in the field WAHOO!! What a time to be alive as a missionary! For those of you who don't know, I have been reassigned to the CALIFORNIA ARCADIA mission!! I was home for about 5 weeks and I got here last Tuesday. Even though I'm not back in Argentina yet and we are still in quarantine over here in LA, I have never been happier to get to put this name tag back on!!

My area is called Chino and YES I am Spanish speaking!! My new mission president said I got lucky I was sent back out so soon so I could speak my mission language. Getting to speak Spanish again has been the BEST thing ever. I missed it so much. Sadly things are pretty strict here in LA and we can't get out much, but we have been able to teach a lot of people (our friends and members) over the phone and through zoom calls!! I LOVE LOVE the members of this Spanish ward already! One family actually brought us some Argentine empanadas bc they heard I was serving in Argentina. It literally made me so HAPPY!! Even though I miss my Argentine people & the mate of course, seeing our NICE apartment and car made California not seem so bad haha :))
I actually live with 4 other sisters, which has been such a blast! I'm in a trio with Hermana Wood from Arizona and Hermana Ayala from HOUSTON TX!! We also live with the Sister Training Leaders (STLs) Sister Bryant and Sister Santisteban. Haha it's honestly been a party and reminds me of living w roommates in college!!
Also California is BEAUTIFUL and I feel so blessed to get to be here! I know this is where the Lord wants me to be and I will love and serve God's children here as I did in Argentina. We had a zoom conference call with the whole mission this past Thursday and one thing that was really emphasized was resilience. In times like today, I think all of us could use a little more resilience with everything that's happened recently. I know that as we strive to look at things from an eternal perspective the Lord will bless us with greater resilience and the strength to meet life's challenges. Sister Wells (my mission president's wife) said maybe instead of asking God to take us out of our current situation we need to let Him in and He will strengthen us. I love this gospel con todo mi corazon! God's plan is perfect and we can ALWAYS always trust in Him! Hope y'all have una linda semana!
Con amor,
