Milagros con los miembros !!!:))

HEYY idk about y'all but for me this week really flew by!! Probably bc we were actually pretty busy!!

I got to know more of the members in my area and realized how truly LUCKY I am to be in this ward! These members are so awesome! We really had a lot of our prayers answered with the help of members in our lessons!

We have been teaching the sweetest old man named Francisco. We were actually able to have a lesson in person this week (outside & social distancing of course) that made me feel like a real missionary again!! This man has been taught by the missionaries for a while but he has struggled to commit to paying tithing. Our trio decided maybe it would be a good idea to try to find someone in the ward who had a cool spiritual experience with tithing but we had never gotten around to asking our members. Then Thursday when we were calling some members to ask them for referrals this one member named Hno Arevalo shared an amazing person tithing experience with us without us even asking him!! It was perfect for Francisco's situation and a direct answer to our prayers!

We also have a 12 year old named Erick who we are teaching. His story is super cool. His mom requested a Book of Mormon online because she wanted the gospel in the lives of her children. They used to live in Mexico and her husband and father in law were baptized there, but then they lost contact with the church for years and now live here in California. Although she herself isn't ready for baptism yet, she wants to give her children the chance. Erick is awesome and we hope he will be baptized soon and motivate his mom to take the lessons and his dad to return back to church. We found the perfect member family to fellowship him with a son his age!

This quarantine has definitely been an adjustment as we've had to rely more on our members and technology for missionary work. But I think it has given me a new perspective on my mission and life in general. Even though we may not understand it now, this whole thing was in God's plan all along.

Also sadly Hna Wod is going to leave this area tomorrow :( Shes awesome at teaching and connecting with our people and so genuine and sweet. It will just be Hna Ayala & I here in Chino but I'm excited! Hna Ayala is one of the funniest ppl I've met and is fluent in Spanish so that's a plus :))

Anyways I hope y'all have a great week!!
