Normal missionaries once again!!

 Hola muchachos!

I had another great week down here in SoCal :))

This week we got to do some exchanges with the sisters in my zone!! I got to go with Sister Lemoe, one of the sisters I live with to her area in Valleyview. It was such a party!! She's from Samoa so we're probably cousins or something and we laughed like the majority of the exchange bc Polys are the best! I haven't served with another Poly since my training (shoutout to Hermana Folau my Tongan trainer:) I got to meet one of the investigators they have been teaching named Eddie! He has been meeting with the missionaries for a while and they have been helping him give up his addiction to smoking. It was really cool because in our lesson we testified of the power of the Book of Mormon in giving up addictions and he agreed 100%! He said every morning he wakes up and reads Book of Mormon, he no longer has the urge to smoke! The Book of Mormon is soooo awesome and SO TRUE!! It really has POWER to help us overcome the temptations of the world as we read it DAILY!

We also got to do a lot of finding and normal missionary work this week!! I can't stress enough how nice it is to get out of quarantine and visit members, former investigators, and talk to everyone we see on the streets. It really is so amazing to me how many people are ready to receive the message of the gospel after going through all the struggles of this year! We went by this one former investigator's house named Maribel and were greeted at the door by her daughter Erica! Right from the beginning, Erica was super interested in our message and meeting with us again!! She said she and her mom had just been talking about coming back to church, so she was excited to find out our services were in person! Hopefully she'll be able to come to church with us soon!!

We also started teaching a part member family and they were able to come to church yesterday! Only the dad and two of the kids are members, so we have been working with the younger kids who have not been baptized! The youngest daughter named Hailey is 9 and is just the sweetest little girl! She told us she was the one that woke up her whole family for church on Sunday and it was so sweet!!

This week was also filled with a ton of service! We volunteered as a zone at the local food bank, cleaned the mission offices, and then we did a TON of yard work for a family that is being taught by some elders in our zone. It was the best!!

Also we got to teach the primary class again this past Sunday! I have never worked so much with kids on my mission than in this area! It's so cool though bc our bishop is really involved with the primary children as well and so I know he really appreciates all the work we've been able to do with them.

Anyways I had a great week and I hope you all did as well!! God is SO GOOD and as we strive to put Him and His son Jesus Christ in the center of our lives, we will see that they really are very involved with the tiny details of our lives! Amo este evangelio y estoy tan agredecia por el gozo que me ha traido!

Con amor,
Hna Tate
