Let the Holy Spirit guide!!

 Hey y'all!! 

This week was crazy busy which made it go by INSANELY fast!! 

I got Hna Webb as a companion and she is so sweet!! She is reassigned from Chile and so it's been fun to have someone who actually can relate to serving in South America!! The sad thing is that she is actually finishing her mission this transfer!! :( She goes home in 4 weeks!! Sooo we are going to make these 4 weeks the BEST last 4 weeks of her mission!! 

We had another MLC meeting this week which was fun to see other missionaries and discuss how we can help take the mission to the next level!! I seriously love President Hall so much and know that as we strive to keep our vision as a mission centered on Christ we will be successful in doing the will of the Lord! We also had a mission wide call about the message of hope that President Nelson will give this Friday and how we can help get the word out to all our friends and members!! I am so excited to hear a prophet of God speak and know that as we listen with open hearts and minds we will be able to receive whatever comfort and peace we need in this time!

This past week we had a lot of lessons and investigators we have been working with!! We actually found some really solid new people to teach!! One of them is a mother and her two kids that we found through Facebook!! We offered free Bibles and she said she wanted one to read with her kids so we actually brought some of the Bible picture books over that we have for kids! Her daughter Destiny was so excited and eager to learn about God and how to pray! We all knelt together with them and Destiny prayed at the end and the spirit was so so strong!! I could feel so strongly how much love our Heavenly Father had for this family that we had just met and I hope they continue to progress!! 

We also had a miracle lesson with a part member family. Bella was a recent convert who is 9 years old and was baptized just before I got here to El Monte!! Her grandma is a strong member but unfortunately her mom has never really had an interest in meeting with us or learning about the church. However finally we were able to have a lesson with Bella and her mom Karla this week to show Karla how much Bella has progressed and learning in the gospel!! Karla started out by being kind of closed off and uninterested in the lesson but as we taught simple using the children's book of Mormon about prayer Karla's heart was slowly softened and she became more open to participating. At the end we invited her to say the prayer and she actually started crying. The spirit was so strong and it was amazing to see how much the Lord really softened her heart!! 

We also have seen many daily miracles in the work with the people we are already teaching and have had many powerful lessons with them!! It's crazy to me that even though I have been a missionary for a little while now, I still learn new things everyday about how to teach and invite the spirit to touch the hearts of our friends. It's really neat as we have let the Holy Ghost guide us during the lessons to see how open our investigators have become!! 

I hope you all have a wonderful week and that everyone makes time in their schedule this FRIDAY to listen to President Nelson speak!! I know he is a prophet called of God to lead His church and that his words are the Lords words!! May we all find peace and comfort in his message!! Love you all!!

  Hola amigos!!  Como estan todos?? This week was really really good! We have been working super hard and time has been flying by (I know I know I say that every week, but I promise time keeps getting faster..) I am SO GRATEFUL to be a missionary at this time and honestly do not want it to end! I can honestly say this past year and a half has been the best time of my life filled with the most difficult trials, but also the most rewarding and conversion building experiences. We were able to really focus on Gloria, one of our most progressing friends! I love that lady so much. She is from El Salvador and we got to also begin teaching her grandkids who are sooo cute. 18 lessons learned! Sacamos la mugre hasta el fin ;)

Hola amigos!!  I cannot believe how fast time has flown, not just this past week as I finished up my mission, but over the past 18 months. In honor of finishing my mission, I'd like to share 18 lessons that I have learned in one way or another from my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ as I have come to know and love them. So.. here are some lessons in no particular order of importance :)  1. The worth of souls is great in the sight of God (D&C 18:10). Every soul is equal in His eyes and deserving of His love and mercy. When we can bring any one of His souls unto Him, we can experience joy beyond measure.  2. God is a God of miracles. Each day we can recognize miracles. Not a day passed by that I did not see God's hand bless us with a small miracle.  3. The work of God cannot be frustrated. Week UNO in the MTC!!!

HOLA FAMILIA Y AMIGOS!! I survived my first week in the Mexico CCM!! (CCM stands for Centro de Capitaciones Misional which is Missionary Training Center in Español) Even though the week felt long at times, I have absolutely LOVED being a missionary!! The Spirit is so strong here and I am SOO pumped to learn all the Spanish I can during these 6 weeks!!  So Tuesday, I flew out of Houston straight to Mexico City. Thankfully I met Elder Butterfield on my flight and we went through customs in the Mexico City together. Then we met about 40 other missionaries at the airport, 10 Hermanas and 30 Elders, and took a 30 minute bus ride to the CCM. The ride through Mexico City was super cool but a little scary at times with all the crazy driving!! The city is SO BIG and crowded with so many people!  Once we got to the CCM I found out that my companion was Hermana Hughes!
