18 lessons learned! Sacamos la mugre hasta el fin ;)

Hola amigos!!  I cannot believe how fast time has flown, not just this past week as I finished up my mission, but over the past 18 months. In honor of finishing my mission, I'd like to share 18 lessons that I have learned in one way or another from my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ as I have come to know and love them. So.. here are some lessons in no particular order of importance :)  1. The worth of souls is great in the sight of God (D&C 18:10). Every soul is equal in His eyes and deserving of His love and mercy. When we can bring any one of His souls unto Him, we can experience joy beyond measure.  2. God is a God of miracles. Each day we can recognize miracles. Not a day passed by that I did not see God's hand bless us with a small miracle.  3. The work of God cannot be frustrated. Being a missionary during COVID was definitely difficult at times, but it allowed me to see how the Lord has a plan for His work to HASTEN, especially in these...

Full circle - the final countdown :(

Hey y'all!  This week was incredible!!  First off, COVID restrictions are now officially (almost) over for us in California!! Like a million days later than the rest of the U.S, I know. But we can FINALLY knock doors!! Woohoo!! Lol my mission has now come full circle. In Argentina our primary finding source was tracting door to door, but unfortunately here in California, it's not too effective so not too much has changed, but it's nice to know we can knock a door if we want to! Haha. We can also teach inside homes now and so that has been a huge blessing. The spirit is so much stronger when we can teach inside the homes of our friends and kneel in prayer together. And I also had my first zone conference in PERSON here in the Arcadia mission!! Lol my first and last sadly :( but it was good to get to feel the missionary spirit and receive revelation all together! It made miss zone conferences in Salta.  We had a great lesson with our friend Gloria and a member wh...

The simple gospel

Hola amigos!!  Como estan todos?? This week was really really good! We have been working super hard and time has been flying by (I know I know I say that every week, but I promise time keeps getting faster..) I am SO GRATEFUL to be a missionary at this time and honestly do not want it to end! I can honestly say this past year and a half has been the best time of my life filled with the most difficult trials, but also the most rewarding and conversion building experiences. We were able to really focus on Gloria, one of our most progressing friends! I love that lady so much. She is from El Salvador and we got to also begin teaching her grandkids who are sooo cute. We gave them all a church tour on Thursday and ended by showing them the baptismal font and we committed them all to baptism!! The spirit was so strong in the lesson as we testified of the importance of making promises with God and following Jesus Christ's example. Alessandra and Bryan (her grandkids) have very littl...

No language barriers!!

Hey y'all!  First of all, I hope everyone in Houston this week has kept warm somehow and survived the winter storm. Every time we contacted someone on the street this week and I told them where I was from, they were all like oh no I'm so sorry for everything that's been happening in Texas... sooo people out here in California are worried about y'all!! But we had a great week! We have continued to teach Blanca and Wilbert consistently and they are progressing well. Sadly they need to commit to get married before they can get baptized, but I know that the Lord will provide a way. We actually had a powerful lesson with them last night where we were very bold with them and helped them see why they need to make changes in their lives for this gospel. That is something that is often difficult to help people understand. But I know that the changes and sacrifices we make for Jesus Christ and His gospel to become more like Him are worth it. Our small sacrifices are ultimately mo...

¡Feliz día de San Valentín!

Hey y'all!!  This week we got to have exchanges which were super fun!! I got to go with Hna Stahley on bikes!! I have only ridden a bike now for 2 days on the mission during exchanges, but I kind of wish it had been more because it was SO FUN!! We got to contact a ton and found many people for them to teach! It was really fun to be with Hna Stahley who is still in training, while I am on my last transfer. I remember being in her shoes like it was yesterday!! I also got to go on exchanges with Sister Morris and it was a PARTY! That girl is seriously so fun to be around because she is so positive and grateful for even the smallest things! We were able to find many people for their area as well! It was neat because at the beginning of the day we set goals for how many people we wanted to find and miraculously at the end of the day our goals were met! I know the Lord provided us with those miracles, big and small.   Meanwhile in our area we found a new lady named Glori...

¡Tiernas misericordias!

Hey y'all!!  I don't have a ton of time but I just wanted to highlight some miracles that we were able to see this week!! First of all, lately I have been struggling to have an attitude of gratitude and deal with the daily stresses of missionary life, so I decided to take more time to thank God for the tender mercies of each day. And it has made a HUGE difference!! I have been able to recognize the Lord's hand in my life daily and see the miracles that He has blessed me with. Our personal tender mercies may not seem huge or mean that much to others, but they are simple ways that we can recognize and feel of God's love in our lives!  This week we found a lady named Mercedes!! We were actually looking for a member's house but we could not figure out which one was the right house. So we basically went tracking and knocking/ contacting from door to door looking for Hermana Rosalina. And Mercedes was her next door neighbor and actually turned out to be intere...
