Looking for fruit and people

Hey y'all -another week has come and gone!! And tan rapido!!! Just out here living my best life serving the Lord in Argentina!!  This week was de diez!! Haha I know I say that like every week but this time I really mean it!! lol  On Wednesday we had exchanges with the STLs in Mosconi so both of them came to work with us! It's always a good time getting to work with other missionaries and learn from their experiences in the mission, the way they teach and interact with people. I was able to work with Hna Jensen from Arizona and she is the sweetest! She has a year in the mission and has a contagious excitement/energy por la obra misional! I definitely learned some new ways to teach lessons with her and it was fun getting to be with another gringa!! Except she actually looks like a gringa (tall, blond haired, blue eyed) so we got a lot more stares in the street than normal :) This week we also found some new people and FRUIT in unexpected places. Haha I do...

¡Buen dia!  Recently I learned that "hola" is apparently the 'informal' way to say hello in Spanish... my whole life is a lie. Haha my comp says "buen dia" or "buenas tardes" is preferable and better to say to strangers on the street. Ooops. The problem is when I try to use "buenas..." I always forget which one is which and end up saying good morning when its 8'oclock at night. Lol... Spanish is still a work in progress:) Speaking of Spanish, this transfer I´ve actually felt A LOT better and comfortable with the language than before. Having Hna Quequezana as my companion has been a HUGE help because she not only speaks fluent Spanish, but also talks SUPER fast. At first she was a little hard for me to understand but it has gotten better with time.  Now I feel like all the people in Mosconi speak pretty slow and at a pace I can handle woohoo!! She also has INCREDIBLE patience with me even though sometimes I have to ask her like 5...

dos dones de los cielos!!

Hello my friends!! Another week in the books with 2 baptisms!! WOOOhooo!! God is good.  No, but seriously this week was pretty awesome. We had put baptismal dates with Ulises and Naim for this past Saturday, so naturally we used the majority of our time this week focusing on them and preparing them for their interviews. And it was the best!! I don't know if it's just been my luck or if all the children of Mosconi are just angel geniuses, but I am still in shock at how easily we were able to teach them. Unfortunately, not all the children in Hna Quequezana's experience were easy to teach so she had some reservations that they might not be ready for baptism this week, but they were able to pass their interviews with flying colors!! I think that Ulises and Naim have more of an understanding of the gospel now than I did at their age!! They were seriously dones to us from los cielos (gifts from Heaven). For every baptism though, there are a lot of things that have ...

milagros con mi madrastra!!

Hey y'all!!  Wow it's been a while since I've said y'all - I need to go back to Texas ASAP!! lol jk I'm having wayyyy too much fun in Argentina!! Feliz CumpleaƱos to Maddie!! Wish I could have been there to celebrate with you but I hope you got to eat alot of torta y helado with Nate :) This week was awesome!! My new companion and madrastra (stepmother = companion after my trainer/mom) is Hna Quequezana and she is the BEST!! She's from Peru and has about 9 months in the mission. It's definitely different being with a Latina companion than a Gringa!! She's already helped me A TON with my EspaƱol and I am trying to teach her a little English!! Its actually pretty fun and thankfully she has a lot of patience with me and is willing to explain new words and phrases to me until I understand. She has also shown me by her example how to really love and show interest in our people!! It's been cool to also see what a change in a new companion and...
