Hey y'all!!  I cannot believe another week has come and gone!!  This week we found the coolest new person to teach!! Her name is Maria and she is 16 and actually lives on our street! She was taught by the missionaries in the past and was so close to baptism, but she said things kept happening that kept her from baptism the first time until eventually the missionaries stopped passing by. So we were so excited when she answered her door! She opened up to us about her confusion between churches. Her  family is Catholic and she is in the process of being confirmed in the Catholic church, but she said now she is not sure because she feels like what we teach is good as well. We shared with her the message of the Restoration and introduced her to the Book of Mormon which went really well and she has been praying to know what to do! It was really neat though because in our lesson with her on Saturday she shared how the past missionaries that taught her a couple of years ag...

Hola muchachos!  I had another great week down here in SoCal :))  This week we got to do some exchanges with the sisters in my zone!! I got to go with Sister Lemoe, one of the sisters I live with to her area in Valleyview. It was such a party!! She's from Samoa so we're probably cousins or something and we laughed like the majority of the exchange bc Polys are the best! I haven't served with another Poly since my training (shoutout to Hermana Folau my Tongan trainer:) I got to meet one of the investigators they have been teaching named Eddie! He has been meeting with the missionaries for a while and they have been helping him give up his addiction to smoking. It was really cool because in our lesson we testified of the power of the Book of Mormon in giving up addictions and he agreed 100%! He said every morning he wakes up and reads Book of Mormon, he no longer has the urge to smoke! The Book of Mormon is soooo awesome and SO TRUE!! It really has POWER to help us overco...

Hola amigos!!  Another week down!! This week was SO GOOD!! God is SO GOOD!! I don't have a ton of time today because our zone sports took up the majority of my p-day but I'll try to include all the highlights of the week! On Thursday we had MLC (Mission leadership council) IN PERSON!! Basically MLCs are when the mission leaders get together with our Mission President and we talk about the progress of our mission with focusing on our purpose and achieving the goals we had set before. This MLC was really awesome to listen to President and his ideas for the mission and it really gave me so much motivation to be the best missionary I can be!! I love President Hall and know he has been called to this mission at this specific time by the Lord. It was also so so fun to see missionaries from my last zone in Chino!  This past week was also really awesome for us in FINDING!! We found 5 new people to teach, which may not seem like much in comparison to what I used to be able to fi...

CHEERS TO ONE YEAR!!

Hola mis muchachos!!  This week was one of the busiest of my life and it was AWESOME!! I've barely had time to breath since I got here to El Monte but that's okay!! First off, I hit my one year mark this week!! One year ago I entered the CCM in Mexico!! It's crazy to think how much has changed in a year!! I don't think my mission has turned out one bit the way I thought it would, but I have been able to see the hand of God in it all!!  My new comp is Hna Diamond and she is probably one of the most charitable people I have ever met. She is constantly thinking of others and loves people with her whole heart and so I am so excited to learn from her!! This is also her last transfer so in missionary terms I will be "killing her" :(( I'm so excited to work hard and make this last one for her count!!  My new area El Monte is FUEGO!! It is very different from Chino because we are in one of the poorer parts of the mission, but there are SO MANY LATINOS HERE!! The...
