Hey y'all!  First off all, I cannot believe how fast time has gone by. It's crazy I only have 7 weeks left in my mission!! Despite how much time I have, I feel like I am still learning new things everyday and time is only getting faster. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with a healthy body to allow me to be out here! I am trying not to take a single day for granted.  We found a new friend to teach named Reina! She was a sweet old lady who typically works and hasn't been home the majority of the times we have tried to find her. But we decided to go by her house on Tuesday because it was her day off and she was actually cooking at home :) She offered us some mole (which is a delicious Mexican dish) and we graciously accepted. The next day when we had set up an appointment, she actually answered! (unlike the many times before).   Hey y'all!!  This week was really good!! It flew by! As I am nearing the end of my mission (so so sad I know) I feel like time just keeps going by faster and faster! Just trying to enjoy every last minute here because I know these are times like no other!! We had more opportunities it felt like to teach this week which was really nice! We have continued to teach Lorena, who has been reading the Book of Mormon and has been asking really good questions. Sadly, however she has returned to work and doesn't have much time off as a respiratory therapist so we haven't been able to teach her as much. But I know if she becomes truly converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ, she will make all the changes necessary in order to let God prevail in her life.  We also met a man named Gabriel in the park near the church who has become my new favorite person lol.   Holaaa mis amigos! ¿Que tal?  This week has been kinda of difficult, not going to lie, but I have learned and grown a ton in many ways, especially through the hard weeks of my mission. There is opposition in all things and it is just a testament to me that this is the Lord's work. Salvation is not an easy thing and that is what we are here to do! Bring salvation to as many souls as we can!  The highlight of this week was our new friend Lorena! She was a former investigator who we called and she found out she had corona. We offered to say a prayer with her and she gladly accepted! She also asked us to pray for some other family members and was very sweet and gracious that we would pray with her. We actually ended up calling her everyday this week to pray with her that she and her family members began to get better, and they have!   Hey y'all!!  First of all FELIZ AÑO NUEVO!! I honestly didn't think I'd survive 2020 but here we are! 2021 and thriving!! So stoked for another year to be a disciple of Jesus Christ :)  This past week flew by! We were rather busy as always finding and teaching!! We have been sooo blessed especially in this time as a missionary to be able to find people to teach with the COVID craziness that is happening here in El Monte. Many of our friends, members, and missionaries in the mission have been hit with the virus so we've striving to be super careful when we go out. We actually had a really cool experience in finding a guy named Adrian. We were looking for a former investigator when my companion had the strongest impression to talk to a man across the street. He was sitting against his car smoking and basically did not give off the vibes of someone who I would normally approach on the streets to see if they wanted to hear a message of Jesus Christ.
